Summary
The characters of the times and traditional characters are a basic area proposed by Money Mu when evaluating modern scholars, and is intended to emphasize the contemporary contribution needs of historical figures to be weighed in a longer and far-reaching state tradition. Initiated by this, our understanding of Momo should consider both traditional and contemporary. Only when the tree establishes an organic connection between Mosseng and the problems of the times, can we help lead the prophetic inspiration of his thinking. As a modern new scholar with a classical and family spirit, Momo gave the founding thinking a modern idea, and at the same time, the predecessor of modern changes lies in the long-term establishment of the country. The focus of his political thought is how the good political order (“Chinese-style national”) that has been certified by historical traditions and can be expanded in the modern baptism full of enemies. In this language, how do you think of new scholars like Momo who seem to have a strong sense of disagreement or alienation towards modern reactionary politics and religion? This reminds me of some of the most historically insightful articles in Momo’s works. For example, in 1971, “The Responsibilities of Chinese Intellectuals”. That was a review of the 60th anniversary of the Xinhai Rebellion and a painful investigation of the modern republic for 60 years, which conveyed the sad feelings of Xinhai Republic during the Xinhai Republic. There are also some similar articles, including essays, systems or fragmented world articles covering thirty, forty, or even seventy years of the Republic, all have strong historical penetration—all in the modern new world circle since 1911, discussing how to recognize tradition, civilization, and Chinese people.
